Privacy notice
Short version: we collect what LifeHub needs to work, we use it to run the features you use, and we do not sell it or use it for ad tracking.
What we collect in the beta
- Account details: the email address you sign in with, and the display name you choose.
- Data you enter: ledgers, accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, investments, pantry items, warranties and notes.
- Files you upload: photos of bills, receipts and pantry items, and bank statement files (CSV or Excel).
Why we use it
To run the features you use: showing your ledgers, reading a bill you photograph, importing a statement you upload, and keeping the members of a shared ledger in sync. We do not build advertising profiles.
AI processing
When you ask LifeHub to read a document, such as a bill or receipt photo, that document is sent to an AI provider to extract fields like biller, amount, billing period and due date.
- Today, documents are processed by Google's Gemini API.
- We are working on moving document reading to Anthropic's Claude API. We will update this notice when that change goes live.

Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in LifeHub's own database on servers we run, reached through Cloudflare's network. LifeHub's apps sit behind a single sign-in with role-based access. API keys and secrets are kept on the server.
Cookies and tracking
This website, chengstudio.com, sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It only remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. The LifeHub app uses cookies to keep you signed in.
Access and deletion
To get a copy of your data or have your account and data deleted, email hello@chengstudio.com from the address you sign in with. We will confirm when it is done.
No sale, no ad tracking
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or track you across other websites.
